About Mira
I hold a B.Mus in Guitar Performance and Contemporary Music and have 9 years of experience teaching students at all levels. My teaching philosophy emphasizes a combination of rigorous technical training and creative exploration, helping learners develop both skill and artistry. I strive to create a patient and encouraging environment where students feel motivated to experiment, make mistakes, and discover their musical voice. I design lessons to include technical exercises, repertoire practice, sight-reading, improvisation, and performance simulations. Feedback is personalized, constructive, and detailed to support continuous progress in technique, musical interpretation, and expressive skills. Each session is structured to build both confidence and independence while maintaining engagement and inspiration. Outside of teaching, I perform regularly, explore diverse musical genres, and study modern guitar pedagogy. These experiences allow me to bring real-world context and contemporary relevance into lessons. Teaching guitar is deeply rewarding because I witness learners grow technically, musically, and personally. Supporting students in achieving their full potential and developing their unique musical voice is the most fulfilling part of my work.

Guitar lessons flourish when students combine technique, musicality, and creative expression. I focus on finger dexterity, chord transitions, scales, arpeggios, strumming patterns, solo phrasing, improvisation, tone shaping, and stage presence. Each lesson includes technical exercises, repertoire practice, sight-reading, improvisation games, and performance simulations. I create a nurturing, motivating environment where learners feel comfortable experimenting, making mistakes, and refining their artistry. Lessons also incorporate creative projects, song interpretation, and guidance on practice strategies to cultivate independent, confident musicians. Students learn to approach the instrument not only as a tool for accuracy but as a medium for storytelling and personal expression.
Lesson progression is tailored to the learner’s skill level. Beginners start with posture, basic chords, strumming patterns, and simple songs. Intermediate learners refine fingerstyle, scales, phrasing, rhythm accuracy, and explore more complex repertoire. Advanced learners focus on improvisation, expressive interpretation, ensemble collaboration, and live performance preparation. Constructive feedback, reflective practice, and mental rehearsal strategies are integrated to ensure technical and artistic growth. Lessons aim to balance precision with creative freedom, fostering both skill and passion.
Guitar instruction also nurtures discipline, musical sensitivity, and self-confidence. Students develop the ability to perform solo or in ensembles while expressing individuality through music. My goal is to guide learners toward technical excellence, artistic expression, and a lifelong appreciation for guitar and musical creativity.
