About Umid
I began my musical journey in 2013 and have been professionally active in music since 2018. I completed a 2 Year Jazz Diploma from the Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory, where I developed strong foundations in jazz, contemporary music, improvisation, and practical musicianship. Since 2018, I have been teaching beginner to intermediate students, helping learners build solid technique, musical understanding, and confidence. Since 2024, I have also been teaching at Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory, working with students in a structured and professional learning environment. My teaching approach focuses on clear fundamentals, creativity, and real musical growth tailored to each student.

My lessons combine technique, music theory, ear training, repertoire, and practical musicianship in a structured yet personalized approach. Classes typically begin with warm-ups and technique exercises, followed by theory, song studies, and creative application through improvisation or musical exercises. I focus on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and long-term musical growth. Lessons are designed for beginner to intermediate students of all ages, including school students, college learners, and adults.
