About Georgia
I started playing guitar at 12 years old, picking up my dad's old nylon string after playing piano and flute before that. I loved how you could explore the guitar and create your own sounds and chords and started to write songs. As I got older I moved to electric and developed my skills as a songwriter and singer.
I studied music at university then moved into community music making, teaching choirs and music workshops in various settings.
I now record and release music, collaborating with different musicians and regularly playing gigs around the UK.

Learning to write your own songs as you learn chords, scales and songs you love helps to create a strong and unique bond between the student and guitar.
I am a flexible and adaptable teacher, letting the student lead with their curiosity while also developing the fundamental practical skill set needed to play guitar well.
I bring a lot of warmth and fun to the lessons, helping students express themselves and build confidence.
I am a Music BA graduate with over a decade of teaching and facilitating experience.
I teach beginner and intermediate guitar ages 5 to 18.
