About Annabel
I am a lyric soprano, currently in my first year of postgraduate study at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I have a First Class Bachelors of Music from Trinity Laban Conservatoire. I have loved singing since I was a young girl, however I did not receive formal music education at my state school and worked hard extracurricularly to gain my graded music qualifications. I understand that singers have a wide range of educational backgrounds, what really matters is your passion and talent, the rest can all be learnt. As well as classical singing, I enjoy musical theatre. Most of my early musical experience was in musical theatre and I was offered places to study at Mountview and the International College of Musical Theatre in London. My lessons will tend to be split into two sections: technical development, and repertoire work. I have found this approach to be very effective in my own learning, giving time and attention to both the mechanics and health of the voice, and to the interpretation of the music. I particularly enjoy working on Classical, Opera and Musical theatre. We can work on Graded Exams, audition preparation, upcoming performances or just for fun! I take a holistic approach to vocal technique, vocal health and artistry. The student is at the centre of the learning, and we will work at your pace while developing you as an artist.
