About Angela
I was born and raised in China for 15 years before coming to the U.S. as an international student. With Mandarin as my native language, I am also fluent in speaking English. My advantage in teaching is that not only can I speak both languages, but I can also think in both ways. Thus, I can serve better to understand your needs and difficulties faced during learning.

For our first meeting, I would spend some time getting to know the learning goal (in English). Then, I would conduct a conversation to examine the level of Chinese speaking/listening skills. Once we figured out where to start, I would then design unique content for each student to help him/her improve and enjoy Chinese learning.

Yidan is my third violin teacher and so far my favorite one! She helped me pass my audition for string orchestra in my high school in the past moth, and I was so happy about that! She is really patient and would spend time to work on every little detail that I feel less confident with. I will continue take lessons with her, and you should too if you really love playing violin!
I have taken Mandarin lessons with Yidan for three months now. She is definitely a caring person and my Mandarin skill has improved so much after taking lessons with her. I am looking forward to work more with her in the future. 100% recommend to learn Mandarin with Yidan if you are a beginner/intermediate level student like me!
