About Alex
I have been playing the Piano for 22 years, consistently with no stops.
My experience with Clarinet & Saxophone was 10 years constant playing, but I have had regular gaps since then but no longer than 6 months without playing.
The Guitar & Bass experience is 15 years consistently without any breaks.
I have my Grade 5 Music Theory Certificate and could teach anyone some Theory until Grade 8 standard if they need some help with that also.

I have been playing music since I was 5 years old when I got my first music book, 'The Disney Book', any child's dream for wanting to play all the tunes I had heard on my favourite Disney classics!
I had already completed my Grade 8 at 15 years old, and my performances include Beethoven's 'Fur Elise' , Rachmaninov 'Prelude C Sharp Minor' and 'Liszt Etude Un Sospiro' along with others.
From 18-25 I was playing with various bands doing covers and originals, while developing my own sound as a musician by drawing inspiration from others. I am very interested in improvisation, and the broad spectrum of possibilities it brings... this is something I can also provide help with if necessary.
I am now 27 and graduated from Leeds with a BA in Music & Performance, and I believe the most effective way to teach I have found is to the listen to what the client wants to learn, rather than tell them everything.
I will give you a balanced approach, where you can choose what it is you want to learn, and i will give you the most effective approach to achieving your goals while also becoming more aware of the instrument at the same time.
