About M Gabriela
I am a student with a love for knowledge, I like to give the world a bit of my passion for natural sciences and mathematics.
I graduated from the Alberto Merani Institute in 2019, then I did a semester of medicine at the "Universidad Nacional de Colombia" and then I went to study Biotechnology for a year in Canada. I am currently taking a gap year.
During my stay at the Alberto Merani Institute I learned a lot about pedagogy and read authors such as Vygotsky, Piaget and Feuerstein, and I did my degree work on learning the changes of retention by having feedback during evaluations from a cognitive and metacognitive perspective (of learning and of the learning method). This is what I put into practice when creating a specific study plan for each student.

Generally, mathematics and chemistry are taught with a lot of repetition without explaining to you the reason for the processes. I believe that by understanding the logic behind knowledge, it is possible to learn in the long term.
With my methodology, I put into practice what Vygotsky explained in the scaffolding theory: all lasting learning must start from the use of previous knowledge as a bridge for logical understanding, instead of memorization. This means that from a series of previous knowledge tests, I put together a personalized action plan for each student.
The most important thing about this methodology is that the student is involved and interested in their own process, so I seek to include the hobbies of each student and the things they like in the development of the topics.
