About Kirushanth
Hello, I'm Kirushanth Thangavadivel, Computer / Electrical Engineer based in Oakland, CA. I graduated from San Francisco State University. I started my studies with the goal of becoming a Computer Engineer, and due to my interest in Power related studies, I ended up doing Double Major in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
I'm currently working as an Engineering Consultant, mainly focussing on Electric Distribution and also doing Private Tutoring as a part-time job, focussing mathematics up to high school. If you're looking for a friendly neighborhood tutor to help you with Maths, I'm happy to help!

As a tutor, my approach is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can feel comfortable asking questions, exploring new concepts, and making mistakes. I aim to adapt my teaching style to meet the unique needs and learning preferences of each student, promoting active learning and critical thinking. Here are some key elements of my tutoring approach:
1. Clear explanations: I break down complex topics into smaller, more digestible chunks, using simple and concise language. I provide real-life examples and analogies to help students relate to the concepts and grasp them more easily.
2. Active learning: I encourage active participation from students through discussions, problem-solving exercises, and interactive activities. This approach promotes deeper understanding and retention of the material.
3. Assessing prior knowledge: I assess the student's prior knowledge on the subject to identify any knowledge gaps. This allows me to tailor my explanations and teaching methods accordingly, ensuring a solid foundation for further learning.
4. Individualized instruction: Every student has different strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. I adapt my tutoring techniques to suit the specific needs of each student.
5. Practice and reinforcement: Learning is reinforced through practice, so I provide opportunities for students to apply their knowledge through exercises, quizzes, and problem-solving tasks. I offer constructive feedback and guide them in developing effective study strategies.
