About Cyndi

Hi. My name is Cyndi. I have over 5 years of experience teaching Primary School Chinese to students from Primary 1 to Primary 6 in Singapore. My goal is to help students build a strong language foundation, improve their academic performance, and develop confidence and interest in learning Chinese.

As a non-MOE teacher, I adopt a structured and personalized teaching approach tailored to each student’s learning ability, needs, and areas for improvement. My lessons focus on vocabulary, comprehension, composition writing, and oral communication.

For composition writing, I guide students step by step in developing ideas, organizing content, enriching vocabulary, and improving sentence structure. For comprehension and oral practice, I focus on effective answering techniques, accurate understanding, and clear expression.

I believe in identifying each student’s learning gaps and providing targeted exercises, clear explanations, and constructive feedback to support steady progress. Whether students need to strengthen their foundation, improve school examination results, or prepare for PSLE Chinese, I aim to equip them with effective learning strategies and essential examination skills.

Beyond academic results, I believe every child learns differently and deserves patience and encouragement. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes, and building confidence.

My ultimate goal is not only to help students achieve better results, but also to nurture independent learners who develop a stronger command of Chinese and a positive attitude towards learning.

About the lesson

Each lesson is planned according to the student’s level, learning needs, and school syllabus. A typical lesson includes reviewing previous concepts, introducing new vocabulary and language skills, guided practice in comprehension or composition, and targeted examination exercises. Lessons conclude with feedback and follow-up practice to reinforce learning and monitor progress.
