About Marinella
I was born in Romania and adopted by a single American mother at the age of 11 months. I was raised in the Pacific Northwest. Enduring life with a learning disability and struggling throughout my academic career, has been a great challenge, but I persisted and determined through it. I have found a purpose and mission in helping other struggling students find their voice and gain the skills they need to be successful in academia and life.
My hobbies include dancing and competing in ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop for 18 years at a studio. I am Romanian gypsy and have a great passion for dance and music, which I carried into my college experience and my adult life. For my undergrad, I majored in community services and minored in music. I also love to sing. I sing in my church choir.
My husband, of five years, and I have two wonderful little dogs. We are looking into adopting children as well.

I prefer to keep my lessons student centered and focused. I allow for them to engaged in their hobbies while working on academic skills to keep them engaged. I used media and interactive computer games to help them gain and master their education literacy.
