About Abi
I'm a doctor working in the UK, and I love teaching people - something which is encouraged in my career but limited in terms of opportunity due to the demands of my job. I love creating sessions to explore, discuss and learn topics - and I find it very rewarding when someone understands even something very small, something that clicks for them, something that allows them to understand other things. I understand the impact of having a positive and clear teacher - like you, I have had favourite teachers at school and at university, and they were patient, calm, non-judgemental (because I used to ask a lot of questions!) and had the ability to explain things in different ways to help me understand. In my teaching sessions, I always keep them in mind, so I can make learning simpler and more rewarding for you.

When I did my school exams, I found the best way to learn was to understand - not just memorise. Especially in medical school, despite the content being vast - this approach was favoured by my top-ranking peers as well as remarkable doctors later down the line who put their understanding of medical conditions to what they learnt and understood at school and medical school. During our sessions, it will be my number 1 priority to help you understand what you are learning so you can perform at your best. I am a visual learner myself, so I will be using diagrams and visual aids but I will be more than happy to aid your learning in whichever way you feel fits you. I offer 1 hour sessions to those in year 7 and above, and 45 minutes to those younger.
