About Tatyana
I just recently graduated from Queens College with a bachelor's in music. I had a concentration in trumpet but became proficient in piano and singing as well. I was a part of various brass quintets, ensembles, orchestras, and choirs. I’ve taken years of music theory, sight singing, dictation, and music history. I’ve been studying music for over 15 years and truly have a deep love for it.

I offer lessons to students that want to learn about music or are already proficient. Students can learn about classical, jazz, contemporary, modern baroque, and renaissance music. All lessons plans are built around the students likes, dislikes, goals and challenges.
A typical instrumental lesson (piano or trumpet) will consist of:
beginner:
-warming up
-learning a new piece
-learning scales and notes
-practicing rhythms
-learning how to hold the trumpet or place your fingers on the piano.
a typical lesson (theory or music reading)
beginner:
-teaching you scales, modes, names of notes
-common groups of chords and how they sound
-picking a very simple song and trying to read it, sing it, analyze it.
