About Jack
I graduated from high school in 2018, and currently study Actuarial studies and law in Sydney at UNSW. I remember how badly I hated school when i first entered senior school, and all I wanted to do was get to lunch to play handball! But from year 11 onwards, with the help of amazing tutors, I really put my head down and found great satisfaction in achieving. It really benefited my self-esteem, and ironically allowed me to find lunch more enjoyable. I believe having set goals and having a tutor who can consistently be there for you is important in enjoying non-academic experiences, and I would really want to do this for the students I tutor. I ended up graduating with an atar of 98.8, and topped Chemistry and English.

I love teaching because I know how boring people can find any sort of academic work, and I like to change it up. To see someone improve and understand new concepts is greatly satisfying, and in order to do this, I believe the student needs to find satisfaction in the lessons itself. I used to do tutoring myself, and I know first hand what students will find boring and hence not be willing to learn, and what will bring out genuine curiosity in them too. I look to creating great rapport and a good sense of fun in lessons, for my sake and theirs!
