About Alex
I am very passionate about chemistry and maths and really enjoy tutoring. I'm friendly, approachable and make a big effort to ensure students feel at ease during lessons.
I have completed my masters degree at Oxford University in chemistry and I'm utilising that experience in tutoring this academic year.

My plan is to discuss with students prior to lessons what topics they would like to work on. In the session we will ensure a thorough understanding of the topic first and then move on to testing this with past paper questions to consolidate the material and prepare effectively for exams. Its no worry if a student cannot identify specific weaknesses - we can identify them together! My lessons typically last an hour, and homework is optional depending what the student wants. I have been tutored over 250 lessons in the past year and all students achieved their desired grades last summer. I mainly tutor A-level & GCSE chemistry and Maths & Biology GCSE, with also experience in helping prepare for oxbridge chemistry interviews.
