I usually split my lessons into thirds - the first being a recap of previous material, and offering any help with material that the student may have struggled during their studies that week, the second being an introduction to new material that I will teach that week, and the third being practice questions on that new material. I then set some practice Through my experience I have found that active participation in learning through doing practice questions, and then through a short recap the next week to make sure that this information is stored in their long-term memory.
