I'm Vikram Borisa, a bachelors-educated and a current masters guitar student in melbourne. I specialize in personalized guitar lessons for all levels: beginners, intermediate, advanced, kids, and adults. With 13 years of experience playing and 8 years of teaching guitar, I've seen firsthand the impact that music education can have on individuals. My expertise includes chord progressions, fingerstyle, music theory, ear training, and more, Whether its classical, electric, acoustic or bass guitar, I tailor lessons to your goalsn be it any genre, country, blues, metal, jazz, funk, classical, this covers it all. Perfect! Vikram is an fantastic guitar teacher with a clear and deep understanding of technique, harmony, melody, and fretboard navigation. He teaches with an explicit prescriptive approach — he listens, identifies exactly where your playing is breaking down, and designs targeted exercises to fix those specific problems rather than offering generic advice. If you're looking to iron out inefficiencies and make real, structured progress, he's the teacher for you.

Perfect! I don't think I have ever been as honest with a guitar teacher about my musical journey/intentions as I have with Vikram and I was a bit nervous to be especially because playing the guitar for me is quite intuitive and I don't really know how to fluently read notes and sheet music but Vikram ended up being veeery understanding and reaffirming and very quickly began identifying some of the things I could improve. Having Vikram as a teacher has been very valuable.

Vikram is an exceptional guitarist but more than that a very versatile and kind teacher. No matter weather you’re a beginner or an intermediate he will construct the course according to your skills and help you level it up
Vikram is an extremely talented guitar player and teacher. He understands what a student needs to focus on in order to improve their playing. For example my fretboard navigation and theory knowledge was extremely lacking before I started taking lessons, but I saw it improve over time just by following his recommended excercises and tips. Moreover all the teaching is done with real musical examples (i.e application of the technique/theory concept being discussed) which makes the lessons much more interesting and enjoyable.
Vikram is very passionate about his art, and genuinely wants more people to enjoy playing guitar. He is very hardworking and dedicated to make sure his students learn to play well.
Vikram is a great teacher i have been learning for about a year with him he is patient with his teachings and very precise, he is an excellent guitar player with outstanding theoretical and practical playing knowledge anyone interested in learning guitar should reach out to him at least once
Vikram is a friend and my guitar teacher. Why I chose to learn from him is because he has acquired mastery in so many different aspects of guitar playing that a lot of other teachers skip. His playing is a cumulation of taking no short cuts and that is more rewarding in the long run. His teaching are very precise, and like a workout regiment for am athlete which is what guitar playing is. Guitar playing is like being an athlete for the finer muscles.
