About JIMMY
I am a dedicated History tutor with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students understand History in a clear and engaging way. I graduated from Universiti Malaya, majoring in History with a focus on History Education. I also achieved an A in History for both SPM and STPM, reflecting my strong command of the subject.
My teaching approach is student-friendly and understanding-based. I focus on simplifying complex historical topics using visual learning methods such as diagrams, mind maps, timelines, and structured notes. This helps students to visualise events and retain information more effectively. I also explain each topic step by step in a calm and patient manner, ensuring that students fully understand before moving on to the next topic.

My tutoring approach focuses on making History simple, clear, and easy to understand for students of different levels.

I also explain topics step by step in a gentle and patient manner, ensuring that students fully grasp each concept before moving on.
Each lesson typically lasts between 1 to 2 hours, depending on the student’s needs and the topic being covered. I can also adjust the pace and duration based on the student’s understanding and academic goals.
As a History graduate from Universiti Malaya with strong academic results in History (A in both SPM and STPM), I have a solid foundation in the subject as well as experience in explaining and guiding students through complex topics in a simplified way.
My lessons are suitable for primary and secondary school students, especially those preparing for exams such as SPM. I focus on helping students build confidence, improve understanding, and perform better in examinations through consistent and supportive guidance.
