About Srijan
My name is Srijan, and I am currently a college student at UC San Diego studying bioinformatics. I love math and science, and I love teaching them even more. As a high schooler, I consistently did well in my math and science AP classes. I also know what high school students struggle with in their classes and why, and that is why I want to help students do better in their classes. Physics is a difficult topic because it pairs trying to imagine complex physical behavior of objects with equally challenging mathematics. To make it easier to digest both at the same time, I approach physics lessons by "world building" - making simple observations, learning the rules from them, and then applying those rules to more complex observations. In this manner, students can grasp the simpler concepts first without having to feel rushed or stressed. At the end, I offer a few practice problems to test understanding. Clarification of materials performed as needed.
I have 4+ years of tutoring experience, both as a high schooler and as a college student. As a result, I have learned how to keep students engaged and focused in subjects that they may find uninteresting, or are otherwise distracted. Most of my tutees end up earning strong grades and exam scores. I will help you achieve the scores you want.
