About Tara
I am a passionate and dedicated University of Cambridge Law graduate with a strong commitment to helping students unlock their academic potential. Having been through rigorous academic environments myself, I understand the challenges students face and the transformative impact of personalized support.
My experience as an Academic Mentor has shown me the power of tailored teaching, and I find immense satisfaction in helping students not only improve their grades but also build confidence in their abilities. I assisted my previous school with teaching pre-university economics and have been privately tutoring since my GCSEs, along with mentoring during the summer before I joined University. My economics students have jumped from low-Bs and Cs to A*s at A-level. I have also had experience tutoring special needs students in GCSE maths and science.
Teaching allows me to pass on the skills and knowledge I've gained, while witnessing the rewarding process of students growing academically and personally. I strive to create a positive, engaging learning environment where every student can thrive.

I structure my lessons by restructuring the syllabus. Having studied economics at GCSE and A-level, I know which topics work better together, regardless of how far apart they are on the actual syllabus. Every lesson consists of topical exam practice, with questions from actual past papers and questions modelled according to the same. I also share model answers with students to show them the structure and depth required to achieve marks in the top band. This, in addition to tips on effective note-taking and speed catered to the student's individual learning style, has proven successful in the past. I often end up with students understanding the content better, and FASTER, with the personalised teaching style.
