About Francesca
I am an academic in the field of Classics. I am Italian born and raised, but I moved to the UK for my undergraduate degree and then crossed the Atlantic to pursue my PhD. Teaching has been an integral part of my training, and I have had the opportunity to teach a wide variety of students from different backgrounds and with different interests. My favorite aspect of teaching is that it allows me to think differently about what I study: it makes me discover new aspects of texts I have read many times before but never tire to go back to!

Italian
I have extensive experience teaching in small groups and one-to-one settings. As a postdoctoral fellow at an Oxford college, my primary teaching consists of individual tutorials with students. I have taught in a variety of contexts and therefore developed a keen sense of student needs and ability to tailor to them. I have taught beginners, intermediate, and advanced language classes in both Latin and Greek, as well as classical and English literature. I have been an interviewer for Oxford undergraduate admissions for the past two years, so I am also able to offer tutoring for students applying for Humanities subjects at Oxbridge.
