About Shivani
Hi everyone! My name is Shivani and I'm a recent graduate of NYU. I studied Public Policy, with minors in Economics and Peace and Conflict Studies. I am a Summa Cum Laude, Deans List, Straight-A student, who has experience with SAT/ACT, GED, and English tutoring.
My experience includes 4 years as a Writing Consultant at NYU, 1 year as a Teaching Assistant for Quantitative Analysis at NYU, and 1 year as a GED Tutor for the Petey Greene Program. I have also been a volunteer General Studies and SAT/ACT tutor with Sanctuary for Families and CollegeVine.
I am an avid reader, martial arts practitioner, and dancer! I'm a NYC native and am well versed with the NYS curriculum and standards.

Embark on a dynamic journey towards linguistic mastery and academic success with my tailored tutoring sessions. I fuse creativity and visual learning with precision, and specialize in English language proficiency and test preparation, offering short-term goal-oriented lessons that empower students to excel. I want students to walk away with a passion for learning and the skills to achieve their educational aspirations.
More specifically, I will look at the students curricula and make my own weekly tutoring schedule that will be shared with students and parents (if asked). I will create a weekly or bi-weekly check-in assignment to ensure long-term comprehension. Lastly, I will share all resources and links through Google Suite so materials can be readily accessed.
