About Erin
I grew up with a brother that has dyslexia, ADHD, etc. I felt it was my responsibility to provide him with a safe space to take his time when doing assignments. At school, there was pressure, one way of teaching, and it added noticeable stress. Since then (I think I was about 8 or 9) I have had a sensitivity, if you will, to the education system and how it's failing so many students who require different ways of learning. My jobs have varied but I have found my purpose in making young students (or just humans) feel less existential about "work" and expectations. Nobody is incapable or stupid. You just weren't understood or heard. I am here to help and listen and explain in a way that makes sense to you.

We learn your way. Well not exactly...but everyone understands material differently. Not one single lesson is going to benefit everyone that hears it. First we will figure out how you will get the most from the lesson.
I like to break things up. Too much of anything at once is sensory overload and your brain checks out. We don't move on until you get it.
Simple is better.
I am understanding and will not judge you for questions or hesitations. We are all doing this (life) for the first time and learning as we go. These topics are important to build basic understanding but are not the end all be all.
