About Laurissa
I’ve taught music in classroom, small labs, and one-on-one settings for about 5 years. I’ve always loved music and started my music education in 2nd grade. I auditioned and made it into several honors choir events such as All-County, Tri-County, and All-State choirs. My education mostly focused on musical theatre and opera, as well as baroque and renaissance music, though I have explored a little of all genres.

I believe all students have the capability to learn at their own pace using various methods. When something isn’t working I research ways to improve their learning experience and adapt to how they learn best. Music is meant to be fun and often therapeutic, not overwhelmingly frustrating. My goal is to help students find a healthy coping mechanism through music and care for their growing passion of making music.
