About Jungho
I am currently a teacher trainee in English. During my summer training, I remember teaching Macbeth to many bright, promising young people.
I wanted to become a teacher because I knew that every young person has the potential to succeed. I remember in secondary school when I couldn’t speak English at all. My grades were all Cs and Ds. But I remember having supportive teachers and tutors. Without them, I would not have had the opportunity to attend LSE and even do my Master’s. I wanted to do what they did for me.
I know that sometimes school classes can be discouraging. So I want to do my best so that students enjoy learning and I enjoy teaching; I believe that positivity always breeds positivity!

My lessons are interactive. I use photos, diagrams, questions, and concrete examples, etc. to make sure that, in my lessons, students enjoy learning.
Most importantly, I plan lesson objectives and ask questions before the end to check if my tutees have fully understood what they learnt. By doing so, it allows me to assess students’ progress every lesson.
During my studies at LSE, I have been a tutor. I have sent students to Russell Group Universities, and I believe that it was not an effort of my own but a collaborated one. I know that, by building positive rapport with students, it can lead to auspicious outcomes.
Recently, I am on the path of becoming a professional English teacher with TeachFirst. To young people, be it my future class or my tutees, I want to show that reading can be fun!
