I am a dedicated and approachable Mathematics tutor committed to helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. I hold a degree in Actuarial Science from Dedan Kimathi University of Technology and have experience teaching Quantitative Analysis and Business Mathematics at RCM Online College. My background in data science and analytical work has strengthened my ability to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly and practically. My tutoring approach is student-centred, practical, and interactive. I believe students learn Mathematics best when they understand the reasoning behind a concept rather than simply memorising formulas. I begin by assessing the learner’s level and identifying areas that need improvement. I then explain concepts step by step using simple examples, followed by guided practice and progressively challenging questions.
I use worked examples, questioning, real-life applications, regular practice, and feedback to build understanding and confidence. I encourage students to explain their thinking so I can identify and correct misconceptions.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, beginning with a brief review, followed by teaching and practice, and ending with independent exercises and feedback.
I hold a degree in Actuarial Science from Dedan Kimathi University of Technology and have experience teaching Quantitative Analysis and Business Mathematics at RCM Online College, alongside tutoring experience.
My lessons are suitable for secondary, college, and adult learners, with teaching adapted to each student’s level and goals.
