About Amy

I'm a friendly and encouraging tutor with first-hand experience of the frustration that can accompany language learning. I'm happy to move at whatever pace works best for you and will always be willing to receive any feedback about what could be more or less helpful for you in sessions.

About the lesson

I am very flexible in terms of lesson timings and am happy to work on whatever aspect of language you feel you need the most help with, whether that be grammar, listening, speaking or writing skills. If you'd like an immersive language experience, I'm also happy to only speak with you in French. Given my degree-level French, I'm available to teach beginners, GCSE or A-Level students and first to third year undergraduate French students. I have experience helping a GCSE student with French homework, and helped him to improve his grade from a B to an A.

Grace

I started receiving lessons from Amy when studying for my French GCSE. She is a great teacher - she listened to me and tailored her tutoring around what I as a student needed that week, whether that be going over particular bits of tricky grammar or helping me feel confident before a speaking exam and honing in on the little details.
I would recommend Amy to anyone - after our sessions I felt way more confident going into all my French exams.
She is also super friendly and easy to talk to, so I always felt comfortable to ask questions and go over stuff as much as I needed to!

Amy has helped my French skills grow enormously. She has been a friendly and patient teacher, and is always able to explain things in the best way possible to help me understand. My conversational skills have improved greatly, and she really focuses on the real world application of the French language. I would highly recommend her to anyone wishing to learn or improve a new language.
