About Sam
As an experienced Maths tutor with over 5 years of tutoring experience, I can help your child enhance their academic performance and excel in their exams.
I have experience teaching all exam boards up to GCSE level including Edexcel, AQA and OCR and I've helped students at every ability level achieve their goals.
I believe every student has the potential to succeed in mathematics when given the right support and encouragement. In the first couple of sessions, I'll assess the student's current level to pinpoint exactly where they need support and identify which topic areas to focus on. We'll then work through real exam questions together, building confidence and ensuring thorough preparation for their exams. I'm patient throughout this process, providing guidance and encouragement every step of the way to keep them motivated and make learning enjoyable.
Over the years, I’ve studied the key elements of each exam and broken them down question by question. From the very first lesson, students begin tackling real exam questions, regardless of current ability. I also make sure to cover any gaps in knowledge, ensuring they're ready for every type of question that could appear on the exam.

Sam was my son’s tutor for more than two years. My son loved Sam’s lessons, he was super patient and engaging, helped him with his maths homework and also played an important role in his successful math’s grade.
Sam was my tutor for my GCSE maths and he managed to take me from a grade 3 to a grade 5 in only a few months which allowed me to get into sixth form. He is a very encouraging and patient teacher and is always happy to explain any hard question in alternative ways than I was taught in school which helped me to understand topics I always struggled with. He is also very kind which makes him very easy to get along with. I would recommend going with Sam if you need help with maths!
Sam is a fantastic patient tutor. He helped me to get my maths to a level needed to get into university. He patiently learned me everything, I was a complete noob in maths before Sam, and within 10 months I had both achieved my level 2 degree and my GCSE! I truly recommend Sam!
