About Xavier
My first thirteen years of my life was spent in Japan, immersed in their education system and culture.
I am a graduate dancer from Middlesex University in Dance Performance.
I am currently teaching dance at 'Future Youth Zone' (Government funded) based in east London. I teach a range of young people who are in secondary schools.
Within dance, I specialise in contemporary, afrohouse, hiphop and capoeira.

When it comes to breakdown of techniques in dance, I really take time my for my students to follow and this comes from adapting and showing patience especially when learning something new.
For example in Afrohouse, I explain the history background of the style when teaching to new members and then firstly work on grooves, steps and then footwork - It's a step by step process depending on how fast or slow the class works.
