About Irish Calo
Hello! I’m Irish, an experienced Special Education teacher with over 10 years of experience working with children, including students with diverse learning needs. I have a background in Special Education and elementary education, and I’m passionate about helping students discover their strengths and become confident learners.
I believe learning should be encouraging, engaging, and personalized. I’m patient, supportive, and committed to meeting each student where they are while helping them reach their goals.
Whether your child needs extra support with reading, writing, math, homework, or simply needs a little more confidence in their abilities, I’m here to help. I look forward to getting to know you and creating a learning experience that works best for you!

As an experienced U.S. teacher and Special Education educator, I believe every student has their own unique way of learning. I create a patient, supportive, and engaging environment where students can learn at their own pace and feel confident in their abilities.
My lessons are personalized to each student's needs, learning style, and goals. I use clear explanations, visual supports, hands-on activities, modeling, guided practice, repetition, and positive reinforcement to make learning both effective and enjoyable.
Each lesson typically begins with a short review before introducing a new skill or learning goal. We work through the lesson together, practice the skill, and gradually build toward independent learning. I also make sure to end each session by reviewing progress and celebrating what the student has accomplished.
With over 10 years of teaching experience, including working with elementary students and students with diverse learning needs such as autism, I understand the importance of patience, flexibility, and individualized instruction.
I offer support in reading, writing, math, English, homework, study skills, and Special Education. My goal is to help students not only improve academically, but also become more confident, motivated, and independent learners.
