Hi! I’m a motivated and reliable Grade 12 student with a strong background in mathematics and a passion for helping others succeed. I take a clear, patient, and structured approach to tutoring, ensuring students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I prepare each lesson carefully, focus on understanding rather than memorization, and adapt my teaching style to suit individual learning needs. Having recently completed many of the same courses myself, I understand current curriculum expectations and common challenges students face. My teaching methodology and techniques:
I focus on making math easy to understand by breaking down concepts step-by-step. I adjust my explanations to match each student’s learning style and use examples that relate to their schoolwork. I encourage questions and make sure students truly understand the material instead of just memorizing formulas.
A typical lesson plan:
Each lesson starts with a quick review of previous material and any homework questions. We then work through new concepts together, followed by guided practice and independent questions. I end each session by reviewing key ideas and giving tips for studying or upcoming tests.
What sets me apart as a tutor:
As a current Grade 12 student, I understand the curriculum and common struggles students face because I’ve recently learned the same material myself. I’m patient, approachable, and focused on building confidence as well as improving grades.
