About Thomás
I am an academically driven student who achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE History with 167/168 marks, placing just one mark below full marks. I developed a particular interest in the techniques behind high-scoring historical arguments, including how to structure, analyse and substantiate an answer effectively. I have created my own approaches and resources for tackling different GCSE question types, allowing students to move beyond simply knowing the content and focus on how to convert that knowledge into marks. I am patient, approachable and genuinely enjoy helping students develop their confidence and achieve grades they may not have thought possible.

My GCSE History lessons are fully personalised to each student, with our programme tailored around your current ability, strengths, areas for improvement and target grade. Having achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE History, scoring 167/168 marks, I have a strong understanding of what is required to produce consistently high-scoring answers. I have developed effective structures for approaching different question types, particularly extended-response questions, helping students build clear arguments, use evidence effectively and develop strong analysis. Lessons will include targeted exam practice, essay planning, content support and personalised feedback, with each 60-minute lesson adapted to your individual goals.
