About Emily
I have eight years of international teaching experience, liaising and supporting students in their educational journey. I believe that each child is an individual. An individual with different values, aspirations and goals and in my role as a Tutor I will ensure that each and every one of these is met. I will encourage outstanding progression; ensuring each student reaches and then surpasses their full potential. I want to promote forward-thinking about potential careers and opportunities, highlighting to the students that their future begins right now.

My style of teaching as best described as a hybrid. It is inventive and has been influenced and developed constantly, from various environments, throughout my career. I like to be innovative and push the boundaries of teaching and learning. My planning is aligned with Bloom’s Taxonomy thus making sure progression is made constantly whilst still be differentiated for the individual. I implement Kagan structures and Socratic Circles into a lot of my practice as I feel they are able to enhance the culture of pedagogy by placing emphasis on the process of leaning.
y background as a classroom teacher means that I know the importance of building a collaborative environment between students and teachers. I will be extremely resourceful in my role and demonstrate a proactive approach to ensure all students reach their full potential. I have a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and would produce high-quality learning materials differentiated according to the students’ ability.
