About Carmen
I have been tutoring since I was in high school many years ago. Since graduating high school, I have worked as a professional tutor for multiple companies. I have taught in private one-on-one settings as well as heading my own classes in a classroom setting. I have taught all ages from elementary school all the way to graduate students who struggle with writing. For the students who are engaged and wanting to learn (or have supportive parents at home); I have been a valuable asset who has propelled them forward. My writing and language instruction consistently earn "A" level grades for my students, but you will get out of these lessons what you put into them.

I hold a B.A. in English and I adore all things literary. I am willing to teach at any level, from elementary through graduate school, depending on the subject matter. In my first lesson, I typically like to get to know the student; their strengths and weaknesses, their goals for themselves, and what kind of education they're pursuing. After this, I am better able to mold my lessons to fit what the student needs.
