About Linus
I am a law graduate with First Class Honours. I chose to read Law at UCL and move to London when I was 17 and have not looked back since. Most of my time - and free-time - is spent on reading, whether it be in English, German or French. Getting to know other languages is exhilarating, and I hope to instill this sentiment in my students as well.
I am a native German speaker, having grown up and lived in Berlin for 18 years. I attended German schools throughout and am thus familiar with the Abitur.

I believe that speaking is essential to learning any language. That means that I will incorporate brief small-talk (in German) at the start of the session, which also enables me to understand the more specific needs of a student.
I will also consider what the particular aim of the student is. Whether it is to gain vocabulary in a specific area or about passing a particular language test. Often the student will already have resources if their aim is part of a school class from which we can work from, especially if it is about passing that class or test.
The length of a lesson can vary between 45 minutes to 1 hour, but I don't think it would be very conducive to better learning if they were longer.
I have experience in tutorial-style teaching of first-year law students at UCL.
I can cater to any student, but would prefer older (14+), more advanced students in German.
