About Jacqueline
I am a 58-year-old tutor with an MSc and 35 years of experience in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. Over my career, I have worked with a wide range of students, helping many achieve significant improvements in confidence, understanding, and GCSE/iGCSE exam results. My extensive experience allows me to quickly adapt my teaching style to suit different learning needs and abilities.

My approach to tutoring is built on clarity, structure, and confidence-building. With over 35 years of experience, I focus on helping students truly understand the subject rather than simply memorising procedures. I tailor every lesson to the individual student, identifying gaps in knowledge and addressing them step by step, while steadily building exam technique and problem-solving skills. I teach in a clear, logical, and patient manner, breaking complex concepts down into manageable parts and using real-world examples wherever possible. Lessons are interactive and student-led, encouraging questions and discussion to ensure understanding. I place strong emphasis on: Core principles and foundations Exam board requirements and GCSE mark schemes Worked examples followed by guided and independent practice Regular review to reinforce learning and build confidence A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, which I find is the ideal length to introduce or reinforce key topics without overwhelming the student. Longer or shorter sessions can be arranged if required, particularly for exam preparation or revision intensives. As an online tutor, I make full use of digital tools such as shared whiteboards, annotated exam questions, and structured notes, ensuring lessons are engaging and effective in a virtual setting.
