About Helen
Hi, I’m Helen, an A-Level student studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics. I achieved six Grade 9s at GCSE, including Mathematics, and have a strong passion for helping students improve their confidence and understanding in maths.
I have experience supporting younger students through my volunteering at Kumon, where I helped students develop problem-solving skills and build confidence. I focus on explaining difficult concepts clearly, adapting lessons to each student’s needs, and helping students develop effective study methods.
I can also provide maths support in Chinese for students who may find English challenging, making lessons easier to understand and more accessible.

I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit each student's needs and learning pace. I focus on helping students understand concepts clearly through worked examples, exam-style questions and effective problem-solving techniques.
I teach KS3, GCSE and A-Level Mathematics, as well as Mandarin Chinese, including GCSE and A-Level Chinese. I can teach in both English and Mandarin, making my lessons especially suitable for Chinese-speaking students or those who benefit from bilingual explanations.
I am currently studying Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Economics and Chinese at A-Level, and I completed A-Level Mathematics in Year 12. Lessons are usually 60 minutes, and my goal is to help students improve their grades while building confidence and developing effective study habits.
