Hello, and welcome! My name is Lydia and I am an online tutor, dedicated to helping others learn and feel confident in my subject area. My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching Techniques and Teaching Methodology I believe that effective tutoring is about understanding how each student learns best and adapting my approach to match. I focus on building strong foundational knowledge first, then developing critical thinking and application skills. My methods include: Interactive teaching: I use questions, examples, and problem-solving exercises to keep students engaged. Scaffolded learning: I break down complex topics into manageable steps, gradually increasing difficulty. Real-world connections: I relate academic content to practical or everyday examples to enhance understanding and retention. Regular feedback: I provide constructive feedback and encourage self-reflection to help students monitor their own progress. I also tailor my sessions using visual, auditory, or kinaesthetic strategies depending on the learner's style, and I place a strong emphasis on confidence-building and growth mindset. ️ Typical Lesson Length Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, but I can offer shorter 30-minute sessions for younger learners or longer 90-minute sessions for more advanced topics, test prep, or coursework support. Each session includes time for review, active learning, and planning next steps. Qualifications and Experience I have a HND in Business Studies, BSc Bachelors of Science Business Management Degree, and currently studying MSc Business Psychology. I have over 5 years of experience within the industry. I also stay up to date with curriculum changes and exam board requirements to provide the most relevant guidance.
