About SHILPA
Namo Namah! I’m Shilpa Nadkarni, a passionate Sanskrit teacher with over 12 years of experience. I’ve had the joy of teaching students from ages 5 to 85, and I currently teach Grades 5 to 8 at an ICSE school in Mumbai.
As a teacher, I believe learning happens best in a warm, engaging, and respectful environment. My classes are built on patience, adaptability, empathy, and clear communication, helping every learner feel confident and inspired.
Sanskrit—the mother of many languages—is truly fascinating! Its richness, precision, and beauty shine through the Vedas, Mahakavyas, Subhashitas, and even songs, riddles, and jokes.
Through my course, ‘Fun With Sanskrit’, I bring this wonderful language to life in a simple, lively, and enjoyable way.

1) FUN WITH SANSKRIT – for Kids: An interactive 3-level online program introducing children to Sanskrit letters, pronunciation, vocabulary, shlokas, stories, nouns, verbs, adjectives, and simple sentences. Each level ends with a creative, fun activity or project. Lessons use engaging audiovisuals, songs, quizzes, and games for a joyful learning experience.
2) FUN WITH SANSKRIT – for Grown-Ups: A dynamic 3-level program for adults and teens, starting from letters and basic vocabulary to shlokas, stories, tenses, writing skills, and grammar. Each level includes a practical, enjoyable project, with interactive lessons using songs, quizzes, and audiovisuals. No prior knowledge required.
3) Additional Offerings:
(i) Basic courses to learn the script from scratch.
(ii) Custom project/assignment-based training for focused learning.
