About Madilynn
Hi, I'm Maddie! I am a high school student who loves helping younger kids build confidence in their reading and writing skills.
As a student who has always excelled in English and reading, I scored in the 99th percentile on my standardized reading exams. My strong performance in school has given me a deep understanding of the exact skills young students need to develop. Having successfully navigated these topics myself, I know how to break down reading, writing, and phonics concepts into clear, manageable steps that help students build genuine confidence and succeed in their schoolwork.
I know that sitting in front of a screen can be tough for early elementary students, which is why I specialize in making online learning highly interactive. Whether your child needs help catching up before the new school year, practicing their phonics, or just building a love of reading, I'm here to make sure they avoid the "summer slide" while still having a great time!

My Lesson Plan & Style:
I keep my 30-to-45-minute lessons fast-paced and engaging so students never get bored. Here is what a typical session looks like:
Interactive Phonics Games: Using digital tools to practice spelling and vocabulary.
Guided Reading: Sharing engaging digital children's books and practicing reading aloud together.
Gamified Challenges: Keeping them active with online flashcards and whiteboard games where they get to draw, match words, and solve puzzles.
I offer a free 30-minute introductory session so we can do a quick reading check, chat about your child's goals, and make sure we are a great fit!
