About Alice
Hello! I’m Alice – a passionate, friendly, and experienced music teacher with over a decade of private and school-based teaching practice. I specialise in piano, vocals, and music theory, and enjoy helping my students grow in their musical skill, creativity, and confidence.
Music has always been the centre of my life! I have been playing the piano and singing since I was four years old and I have been teaching instrumental lessons since the age of 16. I hold a First-Class Bachelor's degree in Music and a First-Class Master’s degree in Composition and Sonic Art, and I’m currently studying for a PhD in Music Composition. My academic background gives me a deep understanding of both practical and theoretical music, which I aim to integrate into all of my lessons in a fun and accessible way.

Singing is my main instrument – I hold an ABRSM Grade 8 Distinction in Classical Singing and an ABRSM Grade 8 in Musical Theatre, and I’m confident teaching a wide range of vocal styles. My approach focuses on healthy vocal technique, breath control, expression, and helping students find their own voice. I work with both beginners and more experienced singers, supporting vocal strength, confidence, and musicality through exercises and songs chosen to suit each individual’s interests and vocal range.
My teaching style is student-led, flexible, and encouraging. I believe that everyone learns differently, and my priority is to adapt to each individual’s goals, pace, and preferred learning style – whether that's through reading music, learning by ear, visual patterns, or a blend of approaches. I strive to make every lesson inspiring, supportive, and musically tailored to each student.
Above all, I want music lessons to be something students look forward to - a space to grow, explore, and enjoy the process. Whether you’re a beginner, returning to music after a break, or working towards a specific goal, I’m here to help guide and support your journey.
