About Theresa
I am a native Mandarin speaker who is also fluent in English, which allows me to clearly explain concepts and support students at different learning levels. I have teaching experience and enjoy creating engaging, personalized lessons that help students feel comfortable and confident while learning. I am patient, organized, and attentive to each student’s needs. My goal is not only to teach the language, but also to help students appreciate Chinese culture and develop practical communication skills they can use in real-life situations.

I take a personalized and creative approach to teaching Mandarin, tailoring each lesson to the student’s age, goals, and learning style. As a native Mandarin and fluent English speaker, I help students understand both the language and cultural context. A typical lesson includes conversation practice, vocabulary building, pronunciation, and interactive activities such as games or storytelling—especially for younger learners. My goal is to make learning engaging, practical, and confidence-building. Lessons are available one-on-one or two-on-one and are suitable for all levels, from beginners to those who want to strengthen their speaking and comprehension skills.
