About Sakhi
I am currently a full time student aspiring to be a STEM high school educator. I have taught students for over 5 years through two different learning centers. I am pursuing a degree in biological sciences and urban eduction. I have taught various subjects ranging from English to coding (java, python, scratch, HTML) and engineering courses. I enjoy teaching students and being able to help improve the understanding of academic subjects that are challenging.

My teaching method involves making connections between the academic content and real world applications in order for information to resonate with my students. I have taught culturally and socioeconomically diverse classrooms in which I gained interpersonal and communication skills. I embody a student-centered teaching style in which the student drives the way they wish to learn rather than being forced to learn by styles that are not working. The students needs truly come first and I aim to ensure that I am doing whatever I need to do to make sure the student is gaining the most from my teaching.
