About Alan
I am a Law graduate based in Harrow and Hillingdon with a sincere love of both teaching and fitness. While I always relished struggling with difficult questions while growing up, I also soon realised that I enjoyed helping others grapple with them almost as much as I enjoyed wrestling with them myself. The idea of tutoring was always going to feel natural.
Beside studying Law, I train quite regularly and take fitness very seriously. I'm an avid runner and play basketball, whilst taking my dog for a walk almost every morning. When I assist others in achieving their fitness goals, it comes from a truly genuine place. It takes a lot of effort, which I respect. I teach out of a genuine care for seeing people improve, and that's the kind of tutor that I hope to be.

The core of what I do is help myself and my clients improve and grow. Whatever that is; finally understanding maths, composing an essay that finally has meaning, or finally reaching that one workout goal you had all but forgotten about. I was that student that just needed somebody to lay things out a little differently. I've also been that person who's had to wait for someone to notice the thing I needed at the gym. This background informs the way I tutor.
We are going to treat each session like a joint exploration. I'm going to investigate what gets you ticking and where your inspiration comes from. Still others prefer more structure and have time/space for questions; whichever you need, I can do. My approach guarantees you won't receive cookie cutter coaching, and I won't recycle an old lesson plan.
While I treat your goals seriously, the execution remains straightforward and fun. I'm here to make you feel accomplished and not overwhelmed. You and I are going to stick with it until we get the perfect synergy. I'm committed for the long haul, for students finding their way or for those who desire a more resilient and capable body.
