About Inara
Hi everyone! My name is Inara. I teach mathematics in higher education and also support high school students as they transition into college-level coursework. My academic background includes Building Architecture (from Latvia, where I am originally from), Mathematics, Computer Science, and a graduate degree in teaching mathematics. I’m offering personalized math tutoring for students who want to build confidence, improve their grades, and truly understand the concepts behind the numbers. Whether a student needs help catching up, staying on track, or moving ahead, I create lessons that meet them exactly where they are. I specialize in making math clear, approachable, and—even better—manageable. With step-by-step explanations, real examples, and strategies that actually work, my goal is to help every student feel capable and prepared. Subjects I can help with: • Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2 • Geometry • Precalculus • SAT/ACT Math Prep • Homework help, test prep, and skill building What students can expect: • Clear explanations tailored to their learning style • Strategies for problem-solving and test-taking • Supportive, encouraging sessions • Flexible scheduling If you—or someone you know—could benefit from a patient, knowledgeable math tutor, feel free to message me for details or to schedule a session. Let’s make math make sense!

I have five years of experience teaching mathematics in higher education, primarily at the community college level. During this time, I have taught a range of courses—from foundational algebra to more advanced topics—while supporting diverse learners with varying academic backgrounds and goals. In addition to my college-level teaching, I also work with high school students transitioning into higher education, helping them build strong mathematical foundations and the confidence needed for college-level coursework.
