About Alexander
I really enjoy helping students become more confident in their abilities, whether that’s overcoming difficulties with maths or improving their English. I’m approachable and patient, and I understand that learning something new can sometimes feel daunting. I make sure my lessons are relaxed and supportive, allowing students to learn at their own pace and feel comfortable asking questions. I genuinely believe that the more questions you ask, the better! There are no silly questions in my lessons. Whether you’re struggling to understand a maths problem or unsure about how to phrase something in English, I want you to feel completely comfortable asking me to explain it again or approach it in a different way. My goal is not just to help you find the right answer or learn a new word, but to help you understand, improve, and build your confidence along the way. I have experience teaching students both in person and online. I can help with Maths, including revision and working through difficult topics, as well as English, including conversational practice, vocabulary, pronunciation, and general communication skills. I always aim to be reliable, well-prepared, and professional in every lesson, while creating a friendly and relaxed environment where students feel comfortable being themselves. Whether you’re looking to improve your maths skills or become more confident speaking English, I’m here to help you make progress and enjoy the learning process.

I focus on clear explanations and worked examples to help students understand topics and apply methods confidently in exams. I have experience tutoring students aged 11–16, covering GCSE and A-level Maths. My lessons are structured, supportive, and aimed at building confidence as well as achieving results. I also offer English lessons focused on helping students improve their conversational skills, vocabulary, pronunciation, and overall confidence when communicating in English. I aim to make my English lessons relaxed and engaging, giving students plenty of opportunities to practise speaking and ask questions in a supportive environment. Whether you’re looking to improve your Maths skills or become more confident using English, I will tailor my lessons to your individual needs and help you make steady progress towards your goals.
