About James
I'm eager to help students in their academic and personal development and willing to go the extra mile to facilitate this.
I have 4+ years of experience in teaching, both paid and voluntary. I have taught both adults and children DJ'ing, Tennis and Art, in groups and individually. Through this I have learnt valuable leadership and communication skills, how to instil discipline, give personalised feedback to each individual, and foster curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm to motivate students to learn.
I have a history of strong academic performance including a BA from Bristol University and attending two well regarded grammar schools, Saint Olave's and Newstead Wood, for which I can help with the entrance tests, as well as tests for other schools.

James had been working with our 11 year old son for around 18 months. They have formed a good rapport and James helped him to obtain offers from three of the four Year 7 entrance exams he took last year. James has a good knowledge of current curriculums and syllabuses, 11+ etc, and is a flexible and attentive tutor. He listens to what the parents want to achieve and is capable of tailoring lessons to individual needs or adapting towards specific goals or targets. We thoroughly recommend James.
