Hello! My name is Nompumelelo, and I am a university student who is passionate about helping learners improve their English. My approach to tutoring is patient, supportive and learner-focused. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and are given explanations that are simple, clear and easy to understand. I adjust my lessons according to each learner’s level, strengths and areas that need improvement.
I offer English lessons focused on grammar, reading, writing, spelling, vocabulary, comprehension, speaking and exam preparation. I can also help learners with homework, assignments and improving their confidence in using English.
I am proficient in English and can also communicate in IsiNdebele and IsiZulu, which can be helpful when explaining difficult concepts to learners who are more comfortable with these languages.
A typical lesson will begin by identifying what the learner already understands and what they find difficult. We will then work through the topic step by step using examples and exercises. I encourage learners to participate, ask questions and practise what they have learned. I also provide feedback and explain mistakes so that learners understand how to improve.
My lessons are aimed at beginner to intermediate learners, particularly school learners who want to improve their English marks, strengthen their language skills or prepare for tests and examinations. My goal is to make English easier to understand while helping each learner become more confident and independent.
