Hi! My name is Zia and I am a first-year Dentistry student at the University of the Western Cape. I recently completed matric with 7 distinctions and understand the challenges that many students face when learning a language.
I have always enjoyed working with children and helping others learn. I am patient, friendly, and believe that every student can succeed when concepts are explained in a way that makes sense to them. I particularly enjoy tutoring Afrikaans because I know how much confidence can grow when a student begins to understand and use the language comfortably.
My aim is to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel supported, motivated, and proud of their progress.

I offer Afrikaans tutoring for primary school students in a patient, supportive, and encouraging environment. My goal is to help students build confidence in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding Afrikaans while making lessons enjoyable and stress-free.
Having recently completed school with excellent academic results, I understand how to explain concepts in a simple and relatable way. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s individual needs, whether they require help with homework, language comprehension, vocabulary, exam preparation, or improving their overall marks.
I teach in both English and Afrikaans and believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions. Parents can expect lessons that are engaging, well-structured, and focused on helping their child achieve steady improvement and confidence in Afrikaans.
