About Sydnee
Hi there! My name is Sydnee, and I am a History student at the University of Guelph with minors in French and Museum Studies.
I started Core French in the fourth grade, and have continued to pursue the language in my university studies. I am currently at a B1 level in accordance with the DELF testing.
I aim to help students with their comprehension of the French language. I thoroughly enjoyed my French classes in high school, finding it a fun challenge and a useful skill for my future. I want my students to have the same great experience that I did, and be able to understand vocabulary and grammar, allowing them to speak with ease and feel confident in doing so.
I love learning and love to pass that feeling on to others through helping them with their studies.

My teaching method allows students to feel comfortable and confident in a safe learning environment. I work with my students so they can better understand the french language, through reading, writing and listening. I have tools and tips to help make connections in vocabulary and to better understand grammar rules.
A typical class with me would reflect on past sessions with questions, comments and constructive criticism. We will then move on to the work at hand, coaching them to find answers on their own, raising their confidence in their own knowledge. The lesson would end with a plan for the next session.
