I had the pleasure of working with Marjorie for many years as a teaching colleague. Not only is she an incredible educator with exceptional preparedness and a strong sense of responsibility, but she is also caring, warm, enthusiastic, and dynamic. She is passionate about sharing her language and culture, and will go to great lengths to identify and meet each students needs, and bring them up to the high standard she sets for them as well as herself. She has experience with young students as well as adults, and knows how to adapt her lessons accordingly. Working alongside her for almost 5 years, I have heard and seen so many students joyfully going to her class, as well as parents thanking her for her thoughtfulness and caring. We worked closely together for three years in a public elementary school in Utah (USA) where she was our first grade French immersion teacher. Marjorie is an excellent teacher. I worked with her as a teaching partner for three years in a French Dual Immersion first grade classroom. Right away, I observed how Marjorie will do anything to help students learn. We had two classes of first graders who were attending school full day, and learning a new language on top of that. They could have been full of anxiety and hesitant to be at school, but they were not. They were the opposite! Our students thrived and enjoyed learning really challenging concepts. Marjorie designed fun, engaging, hands-on activities and lessons for our students to do daily. Marjorie was very creative, and in tune with the students she was teaching. If students struggled with a concept, Marjorie figured out a different way to teach that concept until all students understood . Students thrived under her direction, and they also loved learning and loved to come to school. Marjorie is a hard worker, has excellent work ethic, and always puts 100% into everything she does. With every ounce of my trust and faith, I highly recommend Marjorie as an educator. She’s one of a kind.
